The Help Group’s Kids Like Me program is excited to announce Camp Discovery, a one-week only day camp adventure for children between the ages of four and thirteen with mild to moderate special needs. It will be held at the Tumbleweed Day Camp site, which is located on more than 100 acres of beautiful natural surroundings in the Santa Monica Mountains.

Camp is facilitated by a highly trained team of Help Group professionals, therapists and counselors and is designed to provide a traditional outdoor camp experience while meeting the unique needs of children with various challenges.  Tumbleweed’s exciting campsite provides participants with the opportunity to explore and connect with nature, ignite their imaginations, increase their teamwork skills, and build friendships with peers.

Camp Discovery’s enriching and developmentally appropriate program includes music, arts and crafts, nature activities, games, sports, creative dramatics, contests and special events.  Additional camp features include climbing structures, spacious grass playing fields, a petting zoo and The Giant Snake bounce houses.
