   Specialized Day Schools
 
The Help Group's specialized day schools offer pre-K through high school programs for more than 1,300 students and are certified by the California State Department of Education. The schools provide diagnostic prescriptive teaching, small classes, individualized curriculum, counseling, speech, language and occupational therapy and adaptive physical education.


Young Learners Preschool for Autism is designed for children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental delays. This program assesses the nature and degree of the challenges each child is confronting and fosters development in all essential areas through an interdisciplinary approach.

Village Glen School
serves children with social and communicative disabilities, including Asperger’s Disorder, high-functioning autism, and nonverbal learning disabilities. It offers a unique, individualized education with an emphasis on social skills in a nurturing, therapeutic environment. The Pace Program is available for gifted students. The Beacon Program educates students with behavioral challenges.

Pacific Schools comprises three unique educational and therapeutic day school programs. Pacific Ridge addresses the educational needs of students with emotional and behavioral disabilities. Pacific Cove Program is designed for students with autism spectrum disorders and significant behavioral challenges. The Harbor Program serves students with internalizing disorders, such as anxiety and depression.

Bridgeport School integrates an academic curriculum with hands on life skills training and vocational services for students with mild cognitive delays and challenges in the areas of social communication and/or language development including autism spectrum disorders.

Sunrise School
serves students with classical autism and other developmental disabilities. Sunrise is dedicated to promoting communicative, behavioral, social, academic, motor, adaptive and independent living skills. These comprehensive programs enable each student to maximize his/her potential.

Summit View School

Coldwater Canyon Prep Program
offers comprehensive academic and therapeutic curriculum in a highly specialized day school setting for students with specific learning disabilities and accompanying attention issues and /or social-emotional needs.

The Help Group Child and Family Center* serving children, adolescents, young adults and families, offers a broad spectrum of clinical services encompassing the following programs:
 



The Mental Health Services Programs
provide psychiatry, individual, family and group therapy, case management, early intervention day treatment services for at-risk preschoolers, after school enrichment for at-risk children and vocational services.


The Help Group Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders offers comprehensive assessments using scientifically validated diagnostic tools for children from 18 months to adults. Therapeutic intervention, family support, therapeutic preschool programs, after school programs and summer camp for children with autism, high functioning autism and Asperger's Disorders are also available.

Stepping Stones for children with behavioral and emotional difficulties offers a therapeutic day treatment program for preschoolers who are challenged by special needs, providing early childhood education in combination with comprehensive mental health services.

The Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy Programs provide comprehensive assessment and intervention services on current research and best practices in individual, small group and classroom settings.


The Help Group - UCLA Neuropsychology Program
is an innovative partnership of The Help Group and UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Institute.  The program provides neuropsychological assessments and consultations for children, adolescents and young adults and enriches the field of knowledge through its research and educational endeavors.


The Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention Programs include child and family counseling, foster family recruitment and placement, family preservation, teen parenting and family reunification counseling.


Project Six
creates therapeutic living opportunities in nurturing, homelike settings for children, adolescents and young adults with developmental disabilities.  With a full continuum of integrated services, these programs promote personal and interpersonal development, vocational and independent living skills.
