Hello,
On behalf of The Help Group’s Schools and Programs, we hope this message finds you and your family safe and well. During this challenging and uncertain time, we wanted to share with you several resources available at The Help Group for young people with special needs and their families. KIDS LIKE ME SUMMER CAMP: Our June virtual summer camps were incredibly successful. In addition to our traditional Southern California campers, we had young people from throughout the United States join us. Parents were thrilled to have an opportunity for their child to engage in social, recreational, and physical activities with like peers and the children had a blast! If you haven’t already, make sure to register or refer those you know to Session Two of our virtual summer camps, which begins on August 3rd. You can learn more about our Kids Like Me summer program here. THE HELP GROUP’S SCHOOLS: The Help Group’s ten highly specialized K-12 day schools, certified by the California State Department of Education, will be offering distance learning school programs nationwide beginning August 25th. Making our schools and programs available to those outside of Southern California will allow parents and children looking for more individualized support the opportunity to take advantage of our highly respected and enriched school system. Each school offers prescriptive teaching, small classes, individualized curriculum, and enrichment activities to maximize learning for students with autism, learning differences, social and emotional challenges, and ADHD. If you scroll down, you’ll find a list of our schools with more information about each. If you are interested, I would encourage you to sign up for one of our weekly online open houses to learn more about how a distance learning program may meet the needs of your child. If you are not sure which school is the best fit, you can contact our admissions office to learn more at 877.943.5747 or admissions@thehelpgroup.org. FREE WEBINAR – Lastly, I’d like to invite you to join us for a free webinar – Quality Distance Learning for Students with Special Needs. This is open to parents, professionals, and the general public. Hear from our experts how they have designed quality distance learning and remote services opportunities for young people with special needs. Hear about its successes and become informed about the long-term implications they forecast this model has in serving young people with social and learning challenges. RSVP now. If you have any questions about our schools, programs, and services, please do not hesitate to reach out. In the meantime, stay safe and stay healthy! Dr. Jason Bolton |
