Help Group student serves Pam Clark, Director of Autism Schools at The Help Group

As is tradition, Help Group students celebrated Thanksgiving through caring acts of service. At The Help Group’s Sherman Oaks campus – students served traditional Thanksgiving meals with turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and delicious desserts to fellow students, faculty and staff.

The spirit of giving and gratitude was on full display throughout the week. The Help Group’s Bridgeport Voc Ed students donated their time serving meals to the homeless at the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission.

“It is such an incredible sight to see our students giving back. It not only shows such acts of kindness, but it also shows others all that they are capable of doing it. It gives the students a real sense of responsibility, and they take pride in that,” remarked Sue Ann Kaples, Principal of Sunrise and Bridgeport Schools.
