The Help Group was delighted to welcome volunteers from Hulu’s Give Back Program to our Culver City campus this summer.
Hulu employees, known as “Hulugans,” graciously spent their Saturday beautifying The Help Group Culver City campus. They did an array of projects that included planting flowers, building and painting new lunch tables, assembling portable libraries and more.…
The mission of Hulu’s Give Back program is to offer service, support innovative programs, provide inspiration to youth in local communities through mentorship and STEAM education advocacy. Hulu believes their identity should not only be their digital footprint, but what they do after they shut down their computers. To help facilitate projects on Saturday, Hulu was aided by L.A. Works — a nonprofit, volunteer action center that creates and implements hands-on community service projects.
Julie Steele, Manager of Internal Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility at Hulu, remarked, “Thank you to everyone at The Help Group and L.A. Works for coordinating such a meaningful day of service for our Hulugans. It is a privilege to give back to an organization that makes such a positive impact on our community and touches the lives of so many. We hope that, in some small way, we’ve made the school year a little brighter for your students, faculty and staff. We wish everyone at The Help Group the very best as you embark on the coming school year.”
“The 30 Hulu volunteers were fantastic on Saturday! With their enthusiasm and hard work, they really brightened the campus for the kids returning to school the following Monday.” said Dr. Barbara Firestone, Help Group President and CEO.
