Hello Kaleidoscope Community!
We hope you’re all having a safe and happy February, and staying dry during this very rainy season!
This month, in honor of Valentine’s Day, we are highlighting the value of community and affirming LGBTQ+ friendships, particularly for our young people. Read our newest blog post below to learn more about the significance of community in the LGBTQ+ community. Tying into this month’s theme, we are hosting a “Palentine’s Day” party for our 11 to 17-year-olds on February 16, an event meant to encourage safe and authentic queer friendships. Sign up here or down below!
As always, we invite you to follow us on social media and keep current on our clubs and groups, as well as special events. Please comment, share, and tag your friends, as we celebrate all things LGBTQIA+ on Instagram @kaleidoscopelgbtq, and follow us on Facebook at KaleidoscopeLGBTQ.
With Pride,
The Kaleidoscope Team |

Valentine’s Day is often emphasized as a day for romantic love, complete with roses, chocolates, and declarations of affection. But in the diverse LGBTQ+ community, this day can hold a deeper significance beyond traditional (and often heteronormative) notions of love. Valentine’s Day can be an opportunity to celebrate and nurture relationships we have with our fellow friends in the LGBTQ+ community and create new ones. |
