Recently appearing in the live concert adaptations of Aladdin and The Little Mermaid, the talented vocalist and actress Holly Sedillos, appeared Nov. 13 at the Music for Autism concert at The Help Group’s Autism Center Theater in Sherman Oaks. Joining her on stage was the dynamic Soprano, Amber Mercomes; Baritone, Tim Hearl and on the piano, Dylan Gentile. The free event was open to individuals with autism and their families.
“Today was not only a gift to the children, but it was a gift to the parents,” said Dr. Barbara Firestone, Help Group President and CEO. “On behalf of The Help Group and Music for Autism, our heartfelt thanks for making today such a success.”
The special day featured the musicians interacting with the audience in performing Disney-themed songs, which also included instruments and dancing.
Actress and singer, Sedillos, said she had a great time during the concert and enjoyed the interactive elements involved. Baritone Singer, Tim Hearl, shared similar sentiments, “I am consistently blown away when performing for kids in whatever aspect it is, especially kids with special needs,” he said. “They just want to be reached out to and shown love and care and it’s really important that we can do it through music. It was a beautiful experience.”
It was truly a fun day for the entire family, thank you to everyone involved!
