Brian Goldner, President & CEO, Hasbro will always be remembered at The Help Group for brightening the lives of the children and families we serve.
The Help Group honored Brian in 2009 at its 13th annual Teddy Bear Ball, presenting him with its Help Humanitarian Award in recognition of his far-reaching philanthropic leadership and commitment to children’s causes. We will never forget that evening, when at the conclusion of his acceptance remarks, Brian surprised The Help Group with his announcement of Hasbro’s generous donation to fund the creation of a state-of-the-art Boundless playground to The Help Group’s new Autism Center, which opened in 2010. The Help Group was proud to name this new playground The Hasbro Boundless Playground. His generosity was truly unforgettable.
Presenting Brian with the award, Dr. Barbara Firestone, President & CEO of The Help Group shared, “As President and CEO of Hasbro and as a distinguished philanthropic leader, Brian Goldner is a trailblazer in all that he sets out to accomplish. Brian’s efforts touch the lives of quite literally millions and millions of children worldwide. Brian’s humanitarian spirit is reflected in both his personal and professional life. If there is a gold standard in philanthropy, then Brian has established the platinum standard.”
Over the years, Brian remained a great friend to the children through his annual holiday donation of Hasbro games and toys. For the past ten years, Hasbro has made the holidays very special for our at-risk children served by The Help Group’s Family-Centered Support Programs, Mental Health & Clinical Programs and Residential Services. Prior to the pandemic, Hasbro’s generous donation of hundreds of toys and games each year brought the joy and the magic of the season to so many children and their families.
All of us at The Help Group greatly appreciated Brian and Hasbro’s generosity and commitment to our kids. Brian’s belief and support of our efforts is part of the lasting legacy he leaves.
