The Help Group’s 2023 Resource Fair Recap

On April 30, 2023, The Help Group celebrated its 10th Annual Resource Fair in association with L.A. Parent. Held in Sherman Oaks, the event brought together exhibitors from dozens of organizations to showcase their dedication to serving the special needs community in Los Angeles. With over 700 attendees, the fair provided valuable information, resources, and connections for individuals, families, and professionals.

The Resource Fair offered a diverse range of exhibitors representing organizations from various sectors, including education, therapy, medical services, residential programs, and recreational activities. Each exhibitor showcased their unique contributions to enhancing the lives of individuals with special needs, empowering attendees with a wealth of knowledge and options for support.

The fair hosted a series of discussions led by special needs experts. The sessions covered self-determination and person-centered planning.  Attendees had the opportunity to engage in discussions, ask questions, and gain insights to assist them on their journey.

The Resource Fair also incorporated fun activities and entertainment for attendees of all ages. Children participated in interactive games, face painting, a bubble show, and fitness sessions, too. These activities not only fostered a joyful atmosphere, but also allowed families to connect with each other, share experiences, and create lasting memories. One of the most significant aspects of the Resource Fair was the opportunity for networking and collaboration. Attendees and exhibitors had the chance to connect with professionals, support organizations, and other families facing similar challenges.
