On Friday, November 16, The Help Group hosted an annual “Thanksgiving Feast” at the Sherman Oaks campus.
Transition students from Sunrise School and Bridgeport School worked together to prepare and serve a Thanksgiving meal to elementary students and members of The Help Group faculty. A fruitful learning experience – students were able to practice their vocational skills with the preparation of the meal, and their social skills as they served their guests.
“The Thanksgiving Feast is one of my favorite occasions of the year. Not only do we get to see our students’ practiced skills put into action, but they get to give to others – something they can truly feel good about doing,” said Sue Anne Kaples, Principal of Sunrise School at The Help Group
